The Alano Club of Waukesha, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization established by with the financial help of service groups and Waukesha business people. Many communities in Wisconsin and throughout the world have benefitted by the existence of clubs serving this growing need. The Alano Club of Waukesha opened its doors in the lower level of a remodeled church located in downtown Waukesha in May 1973. Today, the Alano Club is an established asset to the community having purchased and remodeled an old sporting goods store.
The Alano Club of Waukesha is operated by its Board of Directors which consists of 12 members elected at the organization's annual or bi-annual meetings. The Board meets on the last Wednesday of each month and meetings are open to any interested club member.
The Alano Club of Waukesha, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, incorporated on 2/21/1973, for the sole purpose of rehabilitation and education of alcoholics and their families, with a view to the greater appreciation of the nature of alcoholism.This purpose was expanded, by amendment to our corporate by-laws in October of 2014, to include rehabilitation and education of those affected by any substance of abuse.
Our Primary purpose is to stay sober and help other Alcoholics and Addicts to achieve sobriety.
